Pine Hills Golf Club

Pine Hills Golf - The North Star Mohican Casino

Golf and Gaming

By Brian Weis

The ultimate guys weekend is golf, gambling and Packer football. Located in the dense Wisconsin forest, just an hour northwest of Green Bay lies "Man-Cation" Utopia.

Pine Hills is a north woods golf at its finest. Director of Golf, Lloyd Young summed the course to a tee, "You have four holes to get your act together before the course tightens up on you. The remaining holes will require good decisions off the tee and well excited shots."

Lloyd raved about the lengthy 531 yard par 5 eleventh. I think the meat of the course starts here and ends at the 19th hole.

If you are looking to get away from it all or need a break from the tables Pine Hills is an nature lovers dream. My round was a peaceful four hour journey that encompassed all of Wisconsin wildlife including wild turkey, whitetail deer and everything in between.

Do not take my word for it, check out what Tom Sutton has recently said about the course and casino.

In 2007, the idea for a network of local golf directory sites formed and GolfTrips.com was born. Today, the network consists of a site in all 50 states supported by national sites like GolfTrips.com, GolfGuide.com and GolfPackages.com. It is an understatement to say, Brian is passionate about promoting golf and golf travel on a local, regional, national and international level.

On the golf course, Brian is known as a fierce weekend warrior that fluctuates between a 5-9 handicap. With a soft fade, known as "The Weis Slice", and booming 300+ drives, he can blast it out of bounds with the best of them.
