Jack Nicklaus Apparel

Just What You Would Expect from The Golden Bear

By David Theoret

The new line of Jack Nicklaus golf apparel has a lot of new technology and features their Cool Plus fabric, a breathable Polyester material designed with a cooling effect in mind. Colors are bright and bold and the company does about as much as is humanly possible with stripes. You'll find them in assorted widths, shades and color combinations.

The Jack Nicklaus Cool Plus Polo is a must have for any golfer's wardrobe. The Cool Plus fabric is made from Nicklaus' 100% Polyester Eyelet Pique fabric, which makes it breathable, moisture wicking and quick drying. It also has built-in protection from the sun's harmful rays. This solid, Cool Plus polo has a ribbed collar and 3-button placket; there's a Golden Bear logo embroidered on the yoke of the neck. Also, there's a split, uneven hem to help get the perfect look. The Cool Plus Polo is available in sizes S-XXL and comes in several colors including Blue and Caviar.

The Engineered Statement Stripe Polo is made from Nicklaus' 88/12% Polyester/Spandex fabric which gives the garment a little extra stretch and eliminates any pinching or binding through the entire golf swing. It's breathable too and wicks moisture away from the body for quick evaporation. The ribbed collar has a contrasting underside that adds a classy look with the collar flipped up. The striped fabric has a golfer's look to it; one that is sure to get you noticed. There's an embroidered Golden Bear Logo on the yoke of the neck. The Jack Nicklaus Engineered Statement Stripe Polo is available in sizes S-XXL and in several color combinations.

The 3-Color Fineline Stripe Polo is 100% Polyester and is ultra-lightweight and breathable. It wicks away moisture quickly and effectively. The cut is roomy and shouldn't bind or pinch during the swing. It features a knit collar and 3-button placket and the thin stripes make it a classic looking golf shirt. The 3-Color Fine Stripe Polo is available in sizes S-XXL and in several color combinations. It pairs well with the Five-Pocket Tech Pants.

The Five-Pocket Tech Pants are made from a 95/5% Polyester/Spandex fabric, giving it that little bit of extra stretch some golf swings require, and the gripper tape waist band keeps everything in place as things heat up on the course. As advertised, these pants have five pockets with a small change pocket that is perfect for golf tees or ball markers in the front. There's a cut in the hem of the pant leg to provide a cleaner fit over golf shoes. The Five-Pocket Tech Pants also sport a Golden Bear embroidered logo above the back right pocket so everyone can identify the brand.

The Jack Nicklaus Spring Collection for 2016 has a lot to offer; especially if you're a fan of the Golden Bear. For more information or to see the latest offerings, visit them online at www.jacknicklausapparel.com.

About: David Theoret

David Theoret David Theoret has been in the golf and golf travel industry for over 10 years, primarily selling online advertising. For the past seven years, he has also been a golf writer, reviewing golf courses, resorts, destinations, equipment, golf apparel, and training aids - the latter of which never seems to help. David's articles and reviews have been posted on many golf travel and equipment websites.

Growing up in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, it was naturally assumed he would play hockey. Beginning at the age of 3 and continuing into his late 30's, he did just that. However, after one too many pucks to the head, he realized that golf was a lot easier on the body (whoever said hockey players were slow) and took the game up.

After moving to Florida and accepting a position with TravelGolf Media (now part of GolfNow) his love for the game grew exponentially. Most Saturdays you will find him on a course somewhere in Florida or on the practice range reinforcing his bad habits. David plays to a 10 handicap - unless there is money involved in which case it goes considerably higher. He currently resides in Lakeland, FL with his wife Belinda and their two "kids", Madyson and Molly.
