Cynics among you may scoff at the prospect of world-class golf springing from the short-season clime of Milwaukee, but Erin Hills will host the 2017 United States Open, the one Tiger and Rory and Bubba will be vying to win, and Washington County Golf Course, less than an hour's drive northwest of downtown Milwaukee, has been ranked second in the nation among municipal courses by Golf Digest.
