PGA Golf Club Receives TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence

The Wanamaker Course and Dye Course at PGA Golf Club, which are owned and operated by The PGA of America, have both been awarded TripAdvisor's "Certificate of Excellence."

The honor from TripAdvisor is given to only 10 percent of golf facilities rated by the world's largest travel website, which offers trusted advice from real travelers. In order to qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, businesses must achieve outstanding reviews by these avid travelers and maintain a rating of four or higher (out of
a possible five).

"The TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is a tremendous honor and a reflection of our guests' appreciation for both the Wanamaker and Dye Courses' exciting designs, challenging layouts and prime location," said PGA Golf Club General Manager Jimmy Terry. "We are delighted to be honored with this recognition from such a trusted source for resort golf and travel recommendations to consumers worldwide."

Located just an hour north of West Palm Beach and only 90 minutes south of Orlando, PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla., offers a total of 54 championship holes near the state's Treasure Coast, all with Audubon International Signature Status. The facility also features the nearby PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance academy and the PGA Museum of Golf, the home to golf's four major championship trophies.

Designed by legendary golf architect Tom Fazio, the Wanamaker Course is a classic Florida layout, with a stunning backdrop of wetlands, palm trees and palmettos. The course is the first to be named in honor of Rodman Wanamaker, the New York City Department store magnate who inspired the founding of The PGA of America in 1916. He also donated the namesake Wanamaker Trophy, which is annually awarded to the PGA Champion.

The Dye Course emphasizes native surroundings with pine straw rough, vast coquina waste bunkers and grass-based bunkers. Weaving through 100 acres of wetlands, the links-style layout by World Golf Hall of Fame Member Pete Dye offers pure Florida surroundings with a British Isles flavor.

In addition, the Ryder Course, also by Fazio, provides a distinct Carolina touch in a Florida setting, with rolling hills, majestic pines and challenging water hazards. The course is named in honor of Samuel Ryder, the namesake and founder of the Ryder Cup.

Located adjacent to PGA Village, the Hilton Garden Inn is one of the top-ranked hotels in Port St. Lucie by TripAdvisor and offers convenient, deluxe accommodations for golfers. "Stay-and-play packages" for one night and one round of golf start at $111 through June 30; and just $100 through Sept. 30. Rates are per person based on double occupancy in a standard guest room. Pricing is based on golf midweek; surcharges may apply for weekends and holidays. All rates are subject to change and based on availability. King suites are also available.
