Sample Four Courses and Scotches at Arrowhead Golf Club's Scotch Dinner

Wheaton, Ill.-The four-course meal is one of the long-lasting traditions of the dinner table; it's what your grandmother might have served. But she probably didn't serve anything like Arrowhead Golf Club's Scotch Dinner, a four-course, four-scotch culinary and cocktail experience, Thursday, February 18, 7 p.m., in the Grand Ballroom.

Make sure to come hungry for Executive Chef Alan Pirhofer's decadent dishes, from Tuna Crudo (fennel, caramelized pear, blood orange vinaigrette) and Filled Chicken Thigh (wild mushrooms and cheddar, bacon-wrapped green beans, pistachio sauce) to Lamb Crepinette (lamb sausage-wrapped lamb chop, smashed colcannon, rosemary jus) and Cherry Bread Budding with a hot buttered rum sauce that will make your taste buds stand up and sing.

As you dine, delight in four scotch selections from the world-famous Macallan distillery in Scotland, which crafts some of the finest single-malt scotches on the market.

Guests will progress through the Macallan 10 Year Fine Oak, 15 Year Fine Oak, and 18 Year Sherry to the big finish: Macallan Rare Cask, which, according to Director of Restaurant and Banquet Operations Brian Whitkanack, is "worth the price of admission alone."

At least one guest is already accounted for: Jillian Farrell, Key Account Manager for The Erdington Group, owners of the Macallan distillery, will be there to speak.

"Jillian is known in her circle as the 'Scotch Girl,'" said Whitkanack. "She knows all the details you could ever want [to know] about the Macallan scotches and what it takes to make them. She will absolutely wow the guests with her knowledge and personality."
