Escalante Golf Acquires Gray Plantation Golf Club and The Sports Club at Graywood

Escalante Golf - owner and operator of luxury golf properties - has acquired Gray Plantation Golf Club and The Sports Club at Graywood in Lake Charles, La.

Escalante was handpicked by the Stream family, founders of the 2,000-acre master-planned Graywood community in which Gray Plantation and The Sports Club are located. Working in concert with the Streams, Escalante will ensure the golf and fitness facilities enhance Graywood's reputation as one of Louisiana's most livable communities.

Gray Plantation has been named one of "America's 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses" by Golf Digest and is perennially recognized as one of the best courses in Louisiana by Golf Digest and GOLF Magazine. Stretching to almost 7,200 yards from the back tees, the Rocky Roquemore-design bobs and weaves through a series of streams, offering incredible views of the surrounding landscape.

The Sports Club at Graywood is one of Southwest Louisiana's elite fitness facilities, featuring a nearly 8,000-square-foot clubhouse designed for luxury and performance excellence. The club is home to a state-of-the-art fitness center; 10 lighted tennis courts (eight hydro-clay, two hard-tru); multiple pools; and locker rooms complete with steam and whirlpools.
