The Floppy - Indoor Golf Ball Review

By Brian Weis

If you are looking to get in some practice during the off season or to maintain your midseason form when time doesn't permit for a bucket at the range then look no further than The Floppy.

The Floppy bills itself as the Indoor Golf Ball specifically designed for short game practice. The ball resembles a white knitted hackie sack with an internal rubber bladder partial filled. (Sounds and feels like small seeds)

The ball can be used with any club provided you have the swing height indoors. If you do not have the required 9" 5' feet to take a full swing then you will be limited to half swings with short irons and pitch and flop shots with your wedge.

Nervously, I put the balls to the test against my freshly painted office walls. (The company's website claims "it is safe enough to hit into a window) Swinging half wedges off a small hitting mat the ball felt responsive and true. While the ball did not leave a mark on my wall they did leave an impression that these would come in handy during the long winter off season in Wisconsin.

A set of 4 balls retails for $19.99 and available at large golf retailers or online at www.thefloppy.com.

In his adult years, his passion for the game collided with his entrepreneurial spirit and in 2004 launched GolfWisconsin.com. In 2007, the idea for a network of local golf directory sites formed and GolfTrips.com was born. Today, the network consists of a site in all 50 states supported by national sites like GolfTrips.com, GolfGuide.com and GolfPackages.com. It is an understatement to say, Brian is passionate about promoting golf and golf travel on a local, regional, national and international level.

On the golf course, Brian is known as a fierce weekend warrior that fluctuates between a 5-9 handicap. With a soft fade, known as "The Weis Slice", and booming 300+ drives, he can blast it out of bounds with the best of them.
