Tail Activewear's New Collection:

A True Ticket to Paradise!

By David Theoret

At Tail Activewear, the question is not what can you do with certain color combinations, it's what can't you do. And their response seems to be...nothing!

The new Paradise Island Collection exemplifies this declaration. They've taken their staple colors of white and black and mixed in Honeydew, a pale shade of lime green. While many of the garment styles may be the same or close to one another, it's what Tail does with their color palate that is so impressive.

Tail continues to press forward with golf dresses, with the Willow Dress in the Paradise Island collection. Willow is sewn from Tail's Performance Jersey fabric which is 91% polyester and 9% Spandex, giving it all the stretch a lady needs to power through her golf swing. It features a mock neck with a zippered placket and zip pockets. The Boa print is aptly named and looks like snakeskin. The black, white and honeydew design is framed in black from the shoulders to the hips which creates a nice slimming effect. A faux fabric belt is adorned with metal rivets adds style. Willow is available in sizes XS - XXL and retails for $99. If you've been Thinking of adding a golf dress to your wardrobe, this would be the one.

Tail continues to raise the bar when it comes to creating sleeveless tops. The sleeveless Rosalin, Cindy, and Kathleen Tank tops are all sewn from Tail's Performance Jersey fabric and feature a mock neck and zippered placket. The difference is in the designs; Rosalin is white, trimmed with black and honeydew has piping and metal rivets across the chest, which give it a unique look. The Cindy Tank is available in their rush print with black which is ultra-chic and produces a slimming effect. The Kathleen Tank is much like the Caleb Skort in design and is available in Black with Honeydew laces in the fabric. All three feature UPF 50 sun protection, keeping you safe from the sun's harmful rays. These garments are available in sizes XS - XXL and range in price for $79 - $83.

If long sleeves are more your style, then the Trent Top should be at the top of your list. It's sewn from the same Performance Jersey material and features a mock neck and zippered packet. The black side panels and latte piping with strips of the Sabal Palm print sewn into the shoulders and sleeve cuffs add a flattering and fashionable look. The Trent Top is available in sizes XS - XXL and in a White with touches of Black and Honeydew. Retail price is $85.

One of Tail's strongpoints is in ladies' shorts and skorts. The Helaine Skort is crafted form Tail's 94% Polyester/6% Spandex refined pique material and features a straight pull-on design with side pockets and built-in shorties. The overall Sabal Palm print has contrasting side pleats, which add a nice look and the UPF 50 sun protection keeps you protected. The Helaine Skort is available in sizes XS - XXL and in a Sabal Palm and Honeydew print. Retail price is $89.

Tail's Caleb Skort features a modern fit with a pull-on design and is sewn from their Bi-stretch woven material (90% Polyester/10% Spandex), so you can rest assured this skort's going to move with you through your golf swing. It features an 18" outseam with built-in shorties and UPF 50 sun protection. Zippered pockets keep your valuables safe and secure and the lacing detail on the sides adds a sporty look. The Caleb Skort is available in sizes 2 - 24 and in Black with Honeydew laces. Retail price is $89

The Tristan Short and the Dana Short are very similar in design. Both are sewn from Tail's bi-stretch woven fabric (89% Polyester/11% Spandex) and feature a modern fit with a pull-on design and the front and back pockets provide ample storage for all your golf gadgets. The 21" outseam and UPF 50 protection provide ample protection from the sun. The Tristan is available in an eye-catching Gem-Dark print and the Dana shorts are a solid Honeydew color - the only difference is the belt loops and rivets on the Dana Shorts. Both are available in sizes 2 - 24 and retail for $83 and $89 respectively.

Two polos that should be in any gal's golf wardrobe are the Lindsey Top, Courtney Top. They're both sewn from Tail's 91% Polyester, 9% Spandex performance jersey fabric, giving them plenty of stretch. Both feature a zippered placket and short sleeves, although the Lindsey's are a little longer for those who want more coverage. The Lindsey Top is available in white, with Black and Latte stripes on the shoulders and Courtney is available in the same Black/White print as the Tristan Shorts only in reverse. If you love the Gem print, you might want to get both colors! Both tops are available in sizes XS - XXL; Lindsey retails for $79 and Courtney for $83.

About: David Theoret

David Theoret David Theoret has been in the golf and golf travel industry for over 10 years, primarily selling online advertising. For the past seven years, he has also been a golf writer, reviewing golf courses, resorts, destinations, equipment, golf apparel, and training aids - the latter of which never seems to help. David's articles and reviews have been posted on many golf travel and equipment websites.

Growing up in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, it was naturally assumed he would play hockey. Beginning at the age of 3 and continuing into his late 30's, he did just that. However, after one too many pucks to the head, he realized that golf was a lot easier on the body (whoever said hockey players were slow) and took the game up.

After moving to Florida and accepting a position with TravelGolf Media (now part of GolfNow) his love for the game grew exponentially. Most Saturdays you will find him on a course somewhere in Florida or on the practice range reinforcing his bad habits. David plays to a 10 handicap - unless there is money involved in which case it goes considerably higher. He currently resides in Lakeland, FL with his wife Belinda and their two "kids", Madyson and Molly.
