Men's and Women's Golf Apparel for Spring 2018

By David Theoret

As far back as I can remember, Antigua was a brand often associated with an older crowd. The new colors and styles of the Spring 2018 golf apparel collection tell a different story; bright colors and cutting-edge designs are the flavor of the day for this long-standing golf apparel favorite.

The men's Unite Polo is sewn from a 90% polyester/10% spandex yarn dye jersey knit, and their patented Desert Dry moisture wicking technology keeps you dry, as perspiration and moisture is quickly wicked away from the body. The anti-microbial finish also keeps you smelling fresh, even when your golf game stinks. The self-collar and 3-button placket are classic golf. The design features a color block on the shoulders and upper chest and three blocks of contrasting-colored stripes making up the rest of the shirt front. An embroidered 3D silver reflective "A" logo on the left sleeve identifies the brand. The Unite Polo is available in sizes S - XXL and in five color combinations: Cherry/Oceanside, Spearmint/Iris, Boysenberry/Meringue, Poseidon/Mandarin and Seaglass/Sandalwood.

Another good-looking polo with a little less stretch is Antigua's Exchange Polo. The polyester/spandex blend still moves with you but with a little less cling and with Desert Dry moisture wicking, you're guaranteed to be cool calm and collected. Well at least cool! Stripes of multiple colors unite to create an eye-catching design that is sure to add flair to your golf wardrobe. This engineered yarn dye stripe short sleeve polo features an open cuff, flat knit collar and a 3-button placket. Side slits on the bottom hem help relax the fit and a 3D holographic "A" logo on the left sleeve identifies the brand. The Exchange Polo is available in sizes M - XXL and in several color combinations including: Black/White, Sandalwood/White, Boysenberry/White, Poseidon/White and Cherry/White.

The Bali Short from Antigua is sewn from a 95% polyester/5% spandex fabric with a lightweight dobby back texture and a printed box pattern. This woven short features a button closure with zipper and front and back welt pockets that provide more than enough room for all of you on-course essentials. Antigua sees to it that your bottom half will stay dry with their Desert Dry moisture wicking technology. The Bali Short has a 10-inch inseam and is available in sizes 30 - 42. Available colors are Sandalwood, Black/Carbon and Carbon/Silver.

For Spring 2018, Antigua has some stylish offerings for women as well. Their Snapshot Polo features a self-collar and 4-button placket for a classic golf look. The 95% polyester/5% spandex solid jersey fabric has enough stretch to get you through your golf swing and Desert Dry moisture wicking to keep you dry throughout your round. The allover sublimation print is one that your playing partners are sure to remember. In case they don't recognize the brand, there's a 3D holographic "A" logo at right sleeve. The Snapshot Polo is available in sizes XS - XXL and in several eye-catching color combinations: Cherry/Oceanside, Spearmint/Iris, Boysenberry/Meringue and Poseidon/Mandarin.

For ladies who prefer the sun, the Sleeveless Jewel Polo has become a golf staple. The 92% polyester/8% spandex material moves with you as you play, with enough stretch and cling to show off that figure. Antigua's Desert Dry moisture wicking technology keeps you cool and dry throughout the day. Jewel features a flat knit collar with a dyed to match jersey placket and bra strap holders at the shoulders. The textured geometric pattern on this jacquard knit solid polo gives this sleeveless garment an athletic look. An Antigua triangle patch in the bottom front right shows the brand. The Sleeveless Jewel Polo is available in sizes XS - XXL and in 7 vibrant colors: White, Cherry, Black, Boysenberry, Sunflower, Poseidon and Spearmint.

Every now and then, you're bound to get caught in the rain and the Trailblazer Jacket can help to diffuse the situation. It's crafted from a 100% polyester water resistant embossed woven fabric with polyester/spandex jersey jacket insets. The full-zip design has zippered on-seam hip pockets that provide ample storage space for your on-course essentials. Storm cuffs and collar help to keep the elements at bay. There's a 3D holographic A logo just below the right pocket. The Trailblazer Jacket is available in sizes XS - XXL and in several color combinations: Boysenberry/Meringue/Black/White, Cherry/Oceanside/White/Black and Poseidon/Mandarin/Black/White.

Antigua has plenty of other styles to help create your own unique golf wardrobe. To see more of what they have to offer this spring, visit their website, www.Antigua.com.

About: David Theoret

David Theoret David Theoret has been in the golf and golf travel industry for over 10 years, primarily selling online advertising. For the past seven years, he has also been a golf writer, reviewing golf courses, resorts, destinations, equipment, golf apparel, and training aids - the latter of which never seems to help. David's articles and reviews have been posted on many golf travel and equipment websites.

Growing up in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, it was naturally assumed he would play hockey. Beginning at the age of 3 and continuing into his late 30's, he did just that. However, after one too many pucks to the head, he realized that golf was a lot easier on the body (whoever said hockey players were slow) and took the game up.

After moving to Florida and accepting a position with TravelGolf Media (now part of GolfNow) his love for the game grew exponentially. Most Saturdays you will find him on a course somewhere in Florida or on the practice range reinforcing his bad habits. David plays to a 10 handicap - unless there is money involved in which case it goes considerably higher. He currently resides in Lakeland, FL with his wife Belinda and their two "kids", Madyson and Molly.
