Tail Activewear

- Code Pink. Vivid and Lively

By David Theoret

Some woman see Code Pink as a women's peace movement. In hospitals, it's a warning the staff announced over a hospital's public address system. To female golfers, it's a new collection of women's golf apparel from Tail Activewear.

The new Code Pink collection looks stunning and is for more than just the course! This is especially true of Tail's new Gwen Dress; it's versatile and pairs well with heels for the office or looks great with sneakers on the weekend. The fabric of the Gwen is finished with a UPF 50 coating which will help protect you from the sun's harmful UV rays; the light breathable fabric helps keep you cool even on the hottest days of summer. Want more protection? Add the Sasha top underneath and you'll be well protected. The fabric doesn't wrinkle and with two pockets, how can you go wrong! Gwen is available in sizes XS - XXL and retails for $99. The Hexa Trim pattern with Pink trim creates a shimmering look.

Another great sun protection piece is the long sleeve Georgina Top. The no fuss, anti-wrinkle fabric has plenty of stretch to power you through your golf swing and the moisture management system keeps you dry, comfortable and worry-free. Georgina also features a mock neck and zippered placket and the Black & White Hexa Print with patches of Pink on the front and back shoulders and above the hips is sure to turn some heads. It's available in sizes XS - XXL and retails for $89.

The straight pull-on design of the Dalton Skort with front and back pleats is sure to make this garment popular with the ladies. Built-in shorties add modesty and inspire confidence and the UPF 50 finish on the fabric adds another layer of protection. There's enough room in the pockets for all of your on-course essentials. The Delight Print with Black, White & Petunia uses geometric shapes to create an eye-catching design. The Dalton Skort is available in sizes XS - XXL and retails for $89.

The Aailya Top, with its subtle Black, White and Pink Petunia colors will have your playing partners doing a double take. The sleeveless design with a mini mock neck and zippered placket will let you maximize your sun exposure, while the UPF 50+ finish on the fabric keeps the rest of you protected. The Aailya Top is available in sizes XS - XXL and retails for $79.

Tail's Renata Shorts feature a modern pull-on design and the dot bi-stretch woven fabric has all the stretch you'll ever need. Topstitching on the legs helps contour the fit to your body and slits in the front of the legs add to the comfort. Front and back pockets provide plenty of storage space. The Renata Shorts are available in sizes XS - XXL and in Petunia Pink. Retail price is $89.

The Christina Top is sewn from Tail's Performance Jersey fabric, which has all the stretch your game needs. It features short sleeves with a mock neck and snap placket and a UPF 50+ finish for added sun protection. The near-psychedelic Captivate print is mesmerizing with its Pink, Black and White color scheme. The Black piping on the shoulder and contrasting black placket add a nice touch. The Christina Top is available in sizes XS - XXL and retails for $83.

Another sure fire skort is Tail's Mila Skort. With its straight pull-on design, it's easy to get on and off and the built-inn shorties and UF 50+ finish provide all kinds of protection. The sewn in stretch inserts on the side provide added stretch and breathability and the hidden pockets on the seams are zippered for added protection. There's also a back pocket large enough for most scorecards. It's available in sizes XS - XXL and comes in Tail's Pieces print. Retail price is $89.

These are just a few of the pieces available from Tail's Code Pink collection. To see the rest of the collection and find your favorite pieces, visit Tail's website at www.tailactivewear.com.

About: David Theoret

David Theoret David Theoret has been in the golf and golf travel industry for over 10 years, primarily selling online advertising. For the past seven years, he has also been a golf writer, reviewing golf courses, resorts, destinations, equipment, golf apparel, and training aids - the latter of which never seems to help. David's articles and reviews have been posted on many golf travel and equipment websites.

Growing up in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, it was naturally assumed he would play hockey. Beginning at the age of 3 and continuing into his late 30's, he did just that. However, after one too many pucks to the head, he realized that golf was a lot easier on the body (whoever said hockey players were slow) and took the game up.

After moving to Florida and accepting a position with TravelGolf Media (now part of GolfNow) his love for the game grew exponentially. Most Saturdays you will find him on a course somewhere in Florida or on the practice range reinforcing his bad habits. David plays to a 10 handicap - unless there is money involved in which case it goes considerably higher. He currently resides in Lakeland, FL with his wife Belinda and their two "kids", Madyson and Molly.
