Golftini Women's Golf Apparel

- There's Something Happening Here

By David Theoret

We've heard this story before. Lady takes up golf. Likes the sport and gets serious about it. Meets new friends. Can't find a thing to wear. Starts golf apparel company. Becomes very successful.

Ok, we all know it doesn't always end that way, but I think it's safe to say that for Susan Hess and her Golftini Apparel Company, the future's so bright, she better wear shades!

Golftini's philosophy is that when you look your best, you feel your best, and when you feel your best, you play your best. Hess herself is a firm believer in dressing for success, in fact she says that she makes a conscious effort to be fashionable in all other areas of her life so why would she do anything different on the golf course?

As she started out to bridge the gap between golf and fashion, Hess started with printed and patterned skorts, which are still the company's bread and butter. As things progressed, polos, pants, jackets, vests, ponchos and a few skorts were added, the end result was a full collection of on-trend outfits suitable both on and off the golf course.

With the Spring 2019 release of their Fun and Games Collection, Golftini is dialing things back a notch. The new collection gets old school with youthful and nostalgic product names, all with a trendy Golftini spin. Each piece is designed in a classic pattern, but with unique, modern details.

The new Jump Rope Stretch Cotton Skort is as fashionable as it is comfortable. The 97% Cotton/3% Spandex fabric holds its shape perfectly, so you'll look just as good after your swing as you did walking up to the tee. The skort features a flat front, side zipper, two deep side pockets and a rear scorecard pocket. The crisp navy and white medallion pattern has a scalloped "rope" along the bottom hem, making it the perfect garment for whatever the day has in store. The Jump Rope Stretch Cotton Skort is available in two lengths: Standard (17.5") and Long (19"). It's available in sizes 00 - 16. Retail price is $128.

One look at Golftini's Hopscotch Performance Skort and you'll instantly be taken back to the game you played as a child. The vibrant plaid print is flattering for any body type and is made with a lightweight moisture-wicking fabric that offers extreme comfort and full range of motion. Loose-fitting white shorties have been sewn in underneath. The flat front style has a side zipper and side slits with black grosgrain ribbon trim detail on the sides, and the blue, hot pink and navy color combination looks great. Two deep side pockets keep your golf goodies safe and secure and the back pocket can handle just about any size scorecard. The Hopscotch Skort is available in sizes 00 - 16 and retails for $120.

Golftini's Twister Tech Skort has a tie-dye design that may just have you flashing back! This pull-on tech skort is made with a lightweight, moisture-wicking stretch fabric, making it both comfortable and unique. The 3" contour stretch waistband is shape flattering and extra wide for comfort. There's a hidden tee pocket in front and a large back pocket. Loose-fitting white shorties are sewn in underneath. This tie-dyed beauty is available in sizes XXS - XXL and in white, blue and navy. Retail price is $110.00.

Golftini offers several polos that are not only high tech but look good and are extremely comfortable. The company offers a variety of stylish tops that coordinate well with their printed skorts. The new Elbow Polo has a slimming fit and elbow length sleeves and a side slit with matching ribbon trim. A UPF 30+ sun protection finish has been sewn into the fabric. The Peter Pan collar and 4-button, 9" placket with coordinating color enamel buttons gives this polo a classic golf look. There's a Golftini logo on the lower left hem. The Elbow Fashion Top is available in sizes XS - XXL and in five fun colors: White, Light Pink, Grey, Navy, Hot Pink and Black. It could easily become your go-to golf top. Retail price is $90.

Looking for something less...sleeveless? Golftini's Sleeveless Cotton Mesh Collar Polo is sewn from soft 100% Pima cotton which has been double shrunk. The classic polo collar has a notched V-neck with mesh accents on the collar and the placket, making it extremely comfortable when things heat up. This sleeveless garment is available in sizes XS - XXL and in Hot Pink, White and Black. Retail price is $80.
The Sleeveless Zip-Tech Polo is very similar and has a UPF 30+ finish in the fabric. It is available in a lot more colors: Green, White, Light Pink, Hot Pink, Orange, Light Blue, Navy, Grey, Heathered Grey, Red, and Black. Retail price is $84.

When things cool down outside, why not look cool? Golftini's Tech Jacket lets you accomplish both goals. This new garment is sewn in a buttery soft brushed fleece fabrication with UPF 30+ Sun Protection woven into the garment. Other features include thumb holes in the sleeves, hand-covering flaps for added coverage in cold weather and roll-up sleeves with white accent color. The Tech Jacket is available in sizes XS - XL and in either White or Navy. Retail price is $116.

Golftini garments are, for the most part, easy to care for; simply machine wash cold and line dry. For more information or to see the entire line, visit www.golftiniwear.com.

Golf is one of the most mentally challenging sports there is. For many, preparing for a successful round of golf means getting into the right mindset and starts with donning the right outfit. If you're not a morning person, you might want to make your selection the night before!

About: David Theoret

David Theoret David Theoret has been in the golf and golf travel industry for over 10 years, primarily selling online advertising. For the past seven years, he has also been a golf writer, reviewing golf courses, resorts, destinations, equipment, golf apparel, and training aids - the latter of which never seems to help. David's articles and reviews have been posted on many golf travel and equipment websites.

Growing up in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, it was naturally assumed he would play hockey. Beginning at the age of 3 and continuing into his late 30's, he did just that. However, after one too many pucks to the head, he realized that golf was a lot easier on the body (whoever said hockey players were slow) and took the game up.

After moving to Florida and accepting a position with TravelGolf Media (now part of GolfNow) his love for the game grew exponentially. Most Saturdays you will find him on a course somewhere in Florida or on the practice range reinforcing his bad habits. David plays to a 10 handicap - unless there is money involved in which case it goes considerably higher. He currently resides in Lakeland, FL with his wife Belinda and their two "kids", Madyson and Molly.
