Adidas Frostguard Jacket For Men and Women

- Leave No More Excuses For Not Playing

By David Theoret

adidas is at again; creating golf apparel that is appealing and functional. Their new Frostguard jacket is designed to keep men and women warm when the weather gets cool, while at the same time, keep them in style. In fact, the tagline on the inside of the collar tells it all: One Less Reason To Stay In When The Course Is Calling You Out!

My initial take of the Frostguard jacket was not a good one; I couldn't fathom a warm, down jacket with knit arms. My thinking was: My body is going to stay toasty warm but my arms are going to freeze. I also had some hesitations about being able to swing the golf club covered in something that appeared to be so bulky.

My doubts were dispelled after playing my first round with the Frostguard jacket. First of all, it's very lightweight thanks to the quilted duck down insulation in the front and back body with bonded no-stitch seams. Secondly, the knit arms and side panels have a lot of stretch and give you unrestricted motion. They're also fleece lined to keep the heat in. Frostguard also has a water-repellent finish that keeps you dry in light rain.

The Frostguard jacket has a regular fit that is wider at the body, with a straight silhouette. The jacket is made with recycled polyester to save resources and decrease emissions. The stand-up collar zips all the way to the top for added protection from the elements. There are two front zippered pockets on the outside and two deep inside pockets, a great place to keep your scorecard dry.

The Frostguard Jacket is available for both men and women in two colors: Legend Earth and Black. Men also have a choice of Collegiate Navy. Available sizes for women are XS - XXL https://www.adidas.com/us/frostguard-insulated-jacket/DZ6408.html and for men S - XXL. https://www.adidas.com/us/frostguard-insulated-jacket/DX4800.html

About: David Theoret

David Theoret David Theoret has been in the golf and golf travel industry for over 10 years, primarily selling online advertising. For the past seven years, he has also been a golf writer, reviewing golf courses, resorts, destinations, equipment, golf apparel, and training aids - the latter of which never seems to help. David's articles and reviews have been posted on many golf travel and equipment websites.

Growing up in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, it was naturally assumed he would play hockey. Beginning at the age of 3 and continuing into his late 30's, he did just that. However, after one too many pucks to the head, he realized that golf was a lot easier on the body (whoever said hockey players were slow) and took the game up.

After moving to Florida and accepting a position with TravelGolf Media (now part of GolfNow) his love for the game grew exponentially. Most Saturdays you will find him on a course somewhere in Florida or on the practice range reinforcing his bad habits. David plays to a 10 handicap - unless there is money involved in which case it goes considerably higher. He currently resides in Lakeland, FL with his wife Belinda and their two "kids", Madyson and Molly.
