GOLF ACADEMY ANNOUNCES 2015 ADULT CLINICS

The Cantigny Golf Academy today announced a full schedule of instructional clinics and golf schools for adults. The "Welcome to Golf" workshops begin in April and are geared toward beginning players and those who are getting back to the game. In addition, two all-new clinics are designed for adult golfers of any skill level.

"Our goal with these clinics is make golf more approachable and more fun to learn," said Connie DeMattia, Cantigny's PGA director of instruction. "It's never too late to start playing golf, and Cantigny is committed to making it easier to enter and enjoy this great game."

For new golfers or those in need of a refresher, DeMattia recommends the Basics and Fundamentals clinic. Seven sessions will be offered in the April through July time period. The cost per three-class session-nearly four hours of total instruction-is just $75.

For all skill levels, Two-Day Golf Schools will be offered during the Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day weekends. Instruction ranges from four to nine hours over the two days, depending on which weekend is chosen. Costs range from $95 to $199.

New offerings for 2015 include:

* Introduction to Callaway Golf Fitness - students will receive a modified golf-specific physical assessment by Dr. Paul Callaway and start the learning process for the best training techniques for improving golf fitness. Each session consists of two one-hour classes. Cost: $95.

* VISION54: Become Your Own Best Coach - students will learn how to bring their golf games from the practice areas to the course, following the teachings of VISION54 and the book, "Play Your Best Golf Now." This four-class course offers five hours of total instruction. Cost: $120.

Cantigny Golf Academy's staff of PGA professionals will lead the clinics. Each instructor uses proven teaching techniques that foster successful learning and fun for all participants. Convenient evening and Saturday sessions are available, and custom clinics may also be arranged for groups of three to five golfers.

The Cantigny Golf Academy is open throughout the year. Opening Day for the Cantigny golf course is Friday, April 3, weather permitting.
