Below is an interview with Cary Corbitt, Director of Sports & Operations, at The Sea Pines Resort. Cary joined The Sea Pines Resort in 1977 as a golf professional at the Ocean Course, Heron Point by Pete Dye and Harbour Town Golf Links. Since then, he has served in various capacities within the Golf and Sports Division. For the past 18 years, Cary has been Director of Sports and Retail for The Sea Pines Resort as well as in charge of special projects and recently resort operations.

The following are a few traditional and non traditional golf centric questions that I love to ask influential people in the golf industry.

When did you start golfing and who introduced you do the game?
I started playing at age 12 and my mother introduced me to the game.

What is your current home course?
Sea Pines Resort - Harbour Town Golf Links and Heron Point by Pete Dye

To date, what is your proudest golf accomplishment? I
was name Golf Professional of the Year 1997 by the Carolinas PGA

What is your biggest golf pet peeve on or off the course?
Cell phones

What is your favorite golf destination?
Hilton Head Island for year round golf and Colorado in summer and early fall

What course is on your bucket list that you have not played yet?
The courses in Ireland

If you woke up tomorrow and could play one course you played before, where would you play?
Pebble Beach

If you could change one aspect, rule or thing about golf, what would it be and why?
