Greater Phoenix has numerous golf courses, many designed by the greats, and most don't have merely one signature hole, but many. Some courses occupy desert canyons where civilization feels a world away, while others are part of relaxing resorts where golfers can indulge in a post-round spa treatment.

These clubs are consistently ranked highly by golf experts: We-Ko-Pa Golf Club is nestled between the McDowell Mountains and Four Peaks. Troon North Golf Club is desert golf at its best, with two Tom Weiskopf -designed courses snaking through natural ravines in the shadow of Pinnacle Peak.
