It is difficult to think of a golf destination that is more underrated than Arkansas. Sure, other locations that are less worthy of golf distinction, such as Alaska, come to mind, but Arkansas' Nature State Golf Trail should rank right up there with the better-promoted and more famous trails. And it's up to you to spread the word.

Thunder Bayou and Sage Meadows, for example, deliver such superb links-style courses that some golfers may swear they hear bagpipes playing. The practice facility alone at Stonebridge Meadows is 13 acres, and the course itself has been granted four and a half stars by Golf Digest on numerous occasions. And yet these are only three of the 11 outstanding courses along the Nature State Golf Trail.
