U.S. Amateur Schedule - Erin Hills
Timeline and Schedule of Events During the 2011 U.S. Amateur Championship
The U.S. Amateur will offer FREE admission and parking for each day of the event (first time since 1997).
Hosts: Erin Hills and Bluemound Country Club
Monday, August 22
First day of competition. The first two days of competition (Monday/Tuesday) are to be played as stroke play to qualify the top 64 for match play. The field will be evenly divided between Erin Hills and Blue Mound on both Monday and Tuesday, having each player play each course one time.
Tuesday, August 23
Second day of stroke play competition. Those contestants who played Erin Hills on Monday will play Blue Mound and those who played Blue Mound will travel to Erin Hills. After competition on Tuesday, the field will be cut from 312 down to 64 for the match play.
Wednesday, August 24
First day of match play competition (match play is exclusively at Erin Hills). Wednesday marks the round of 64. There will be 32 matches with tee times starting at 7:30 am.

Thursday, August 25
Golf Channel 1-3 p.m.
Friday, August 26 - Quarterfinals of match play. Round of 8 (4 matches)
Golf Channel 1-3 p.m.
Saturday, August 27
Semifinals of match play. Round of 4 (2 matches)
NBC 4-6 p.m.
Sunday, August 28
36 hole final (2 player final)
TV Coverage: NBC (4-6 p.m.)
After the 36 hole final on Sunday, the winner will be awarded the Havemeyer trophy, and their name will be etched next to the greats of the game.
