BMR2 Putter Review

The Medicus of Putters - My Words Not Theirs

By Brian Weis

Every avid golfer has a basement full of golf gizmos and training aids. I am no different other than mine die in my office and later find a second home on ebay. Very few products have a lifespan longer than 2 weeks because either I learn the maneuver or I chase the next latest and greatest contraption.

Being a gadget guy I am always attracted to the new product booths at the golf shows. This past Spring at the Milwaukee golf show the bright colored putters, lushes green and people draining putts was the force that pulled me into the CSI booth.

I was quickly greeted by one of the Stingley brothers who handed me a putter. The putter resembled my 2 ball odyssey putter but on the back was a sand filled wiffle like ball. I drained the six foot putt but the back balance ball fell after striking the putt.

"You lifted your head at the end" Craig Stingley instructed.

I tried again and it fell again. I practiced there for another 15 minutes perfecting my tempo and form. I said this is like the "Medicus for Putters "

Stingley commented that he heard that often.

Spending a brief time with the club I was amazed at the instant feedback I was getting and could make corrections instantly to fine tune my putting feel. The BMR2 putter was designed to give you instant feedback on your mechanics. The ball will fall with a bad putting stroke. This will eliminate an unbalanced swing, punched putts, head lifting, etc.

I purchased the putter a few months ago and have been working with it on the range and in my office. In addition to a smoother putting stroke I now have greater confidence in my short game.

The BMR2 Putter

Comes in 6 different designs and color options with a MSRP around $129.95.

PTT Adapter

Recently CSI, INC has launched an adapter that magnetically attaches to blade putters. The adapter gives the same feedback and can slip into your golf bag easily. Pull it out to develop some short game feel before your round.
