Where To Play During The Masters

Play For $100 on the Freshwater Shores of South Carolina

By Marcus Davies

For most golfers, the homage to the Masters in early April is a major buck list item. For those looking to make the trek the planning can be overwhelming. Hotels and golf courses are booked months in advance, not to mention anything in nearby Augusta is very pricey.

One option to consider is Savannah Lakes Village, a 4,000 acre lakefront club community on the shores of Lake Thurmond just 45 minutes north of Augusta. In under an hour, you can tee it up on two semi private courses - Monticello Golf Course and Tara Golf Club.
