Below is an interview with Reagan Davis, PGA, the Director of Golf at Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa. The following are a few traditional and non traditional golf centric questions that I love to ask influential people in the golf industry.

Can you provide our readers a brief biography? Reagan brings 22 years of experience as a PGA Golf Professional to Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa. This "Ragin Cajun", from south Louisiana, prides himself in all things golf. As an avid vintage golf club collector and golf historian.

Reagan Davis has managed public, private, and resort style golf courses across the country. His resume highlights include terms at Troon North Golf Club and Camelback Golf Club both in Scottsdale AZ. Reagan spent 17 years at Les Vieux Chenes de Lafayette Golf Course under the tutelage of some of the best golf professionals in the south.

The driving force to his success in the golf industry can be easily be attributed to his 16 year marriage to his wonderful wife, Diane and his 3 beautiful children, Rachel, Tyler and Jessica. Reagan's love of the game is second only to his desire to make Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa the best golf resort in the country.

When did you start golfing and who introduced you to the game? I starting playing in 1982 at Les Vieux Chenes Golf Course, in Youngsville, Louisiana. My brother, Joe Davis was the pro there for 25 years. He taught me everything I know about golf.

What is your current home course? Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa, We have three & half courses. The General, North, South & East Course

To date, what is your proudest golf accomplishment? Becoming the director of golf here at Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa in 2013.

What is your biggest golf pet peeve on or off the course? Anyone throwing trash on the any golf course.

What is your favorite club in your bag and why? Lob wedge. Its the hardest shot to hit. I guess I like the challenge.

What is your favorite golf destination? Scotland, UK

What course is on your bucket list that you have not played yet? Augusta National Golf Club....one day it will happen.

If you woke up tomorrow and could play one course you played before, where would you play? Cypress Point Golf Club, Pebble Beach CA

If you could change one aspect, rule or thing about golf, what would it be and why? OB rule is too hard for everyday golfers.

Dream foursome (living)? Dad, two brothers, & my son....that's a fivesome....its ok I know the pro.
