Callaway Footwear for 2018

Quality from a Name You Can Trust

By David Theoret

Callaway has introduced several new pairs of golf footwear for 2018. Both men and women will have the option of shoes that look like something PGA Tour professionals wear to footwear with more of an athletic look. No matter what the style you choose, you'll be amazed at the level of comfort they deliver.

Don't be surprised when you show up at the first tee and your partners look at your shoes and laugh, thinking you're still wearing the shoes you wore into the office this morning. That's because Callaway's Swami 2.0 spikeless golf shoes look a lot like they are were meant to be worn to the office on casual Fridays. On the course, they're all business; the full-grain leather uppers are both durable and comfortable, and the Opti-Repel water-resistant coating on the leather creates a barrier against the elements, keeping your feet dry throughout your round. Callaway has created one of the most impressive midsoles on the market; their Opti-Soft EVA midsole works with your foot's arch to create a natural and comfortable walk. The outsole is a spikeless Dura-Rubber sole, with multidirectional traction-control lugs that keep you connected to the ground in each direction which prevents slipping and allows you to dig in and make the perfect swing. The leather collar lining and welted construction deliver a luxurious look and feel. You'll look and play your best in the new Callaway Swami 2.0 golf shoes from Callaway. They are available in Black, White and Brown, so they will go with just about anything. The new Swami 2.0 shoes are available in half-sizes 8 - 14 and have a retail price of 139.99. These shoes carry a two-year limited waterproof warranty.

Ladies are sure to enjoy Callaway's Solaire spikeless golf shoes, a name that has become a staple in ladies' golf footwear. The 2018 model features a two-toned mesh upper complete with Callaway's 3D stability cage, which delivers maximum support and breathability. The mesh upper is trimmed with a contrasting shiny fabric, giving this shoe a true athletic look. Like the men's Swami shoes, the Solitaires are equipped with the company's Opti-Soft EVA midsole which provides a natural feel and comfort by working with your foot's arch. The spikeless dura-rubber outsole has multi-directional traction lugs to keep you well-connected to the ground. Whether you're an everyday player or a weekend golfer you can rest assured that your choice of the Callaway's Solaire are a comfortable and fashionable choice that gets the job done as a premier golf shoe. Callaway's Ladies' Solaire golf shoes are available in half-sizes 6 - 11 and in White, Grey and Navy. Retail price is $69.99

About: David Theoret

David Theoret David Theoret has been in the golf and golf travel industry for over 10 years, primarily selling online advertising. For the past seven years, he has also been a golf writer, reviewing golf courses, resorts, destinations, equipment, golf apparel, and training aids - the latter of which never seems to help. David's articles and reviews have been posted on many golf travel and equipment websites.

Growing up in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, it was naturally assumed he would play hockey. Beginning at the age of 3 and continuing into his late 30's, he did just that. However, after one too many pucks to the head, he realized that golf was a lot easier on the body (whoever said hockey players were slow) and took the game up.

After moving to Florida and accepting a position with TravelGolf Media (now part of GolfNow) his love for the game grew exponentially. Most Saturdays you will find him on a course somewhere in Florida or on the practice range reinforcing his bad habits. David plays to a 10 handicap - unless there is money involved in which case it goes considerably higher. He currently resides in Lakeland, FL with his wife Belinda and their two "kids", Madyson and Molly.
