TEXAS' LANTANA GC COMPLETES MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR TRANSFORMATION
By Steve Habel
DALLAS, Texas - Lantana Golf Club, one of the most highly regarded, family-centric private clubs in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, has transformed its clubhouse to meet the needs of its dynamic, growing membership.
Unveiled last week, the multimillion-dollar renovation impresses from the moment of arrival. A new entrance leads to an inviting, open floorplan that flows from the reception area to a new member bar and dining space as its central focus.
"We're strategically investing in clubs across our portfolio footprint, including our hometown of Dallas-Fort Worth, to make great culinary, programming, and golf accessible for members and their guests," said Blake Walker, Founder and CEO of Arcis Golf. "Arcis Golf is committed to providing the finest lifestyle experiences and amenities in the communities we serve. The investment at Lantana reflects our intention."
Dallas-based Arcis Golf owns and operates nine properties in the DFW Metroplex. The second largest and fastest-growing owner and operator of golf facilities in the United States, Arcis has invested more than $90 million in upgrades, amenities, personnel, training, and systems to make golf and the club lifestyle more accessible at its collection of municipal, daily-fee, private and resort clubs.
Existing wood trusses, vaulted ceilings, and Texas masonry were architectural features that the design team optimized. A rich color palette, decorative lighting, finish material, and new furniture encourage an ebb and flow of social activity throughout the public areas. Cozy seating surrounds the fireplace and television monitors, melding into the bar area.
The centerpiece is the large wraparound bar, served by a tap system featuring ten local craft and national brews on draught.
Large wine refrigerators connect the new bar and adjacent lounge area, with its various seating nooks and gathering spots. A specialty cocktail menu has been developed, including soon-to-become favorites: the Boulevardier, the Bourbon Smash, and the Smoked Old Fashioned.
Food service is available in the bar, as well as in the renovated dining room, which overlooks the golf course and 18th hole. An open kitchen concept and the use of Texas manufacturers and craftsman furniture makers and materials delivers a modernized authentic Texas décor with a casual yet elevated vibe.
Global palates will enjoy a culinary journey, which embraces a menu of diverse international dishes and flavors that change regularly and include seasonal offerings. Menu selections range from Baby Bok Salad to Funghi De Panzanella, Roasted Thai Chicken to Jagerschnitzel.
The club pro shop was transformed to be another convenient resource for the community.
"Whether a housewarming gift, something for friend or family member, or traditional golf apparel, Lantana Golf Club's lifestyle retail shop offers a diverse array of specialty items," said Rob Larkin, Senior Vice President of Operations for Arcis Golf.
Other items for sale include candles, drinkware, marble cutting boards, wine decanters, growlers, tote bags, cashmere throws, pajamas, yoga mats. Premium brands of apparel, footwear and accessories include Greyson, G/Fore, Redvanly, lululemon, and 7Diamonds.
According to Larkin, Lantana's membership and their active lifestyles inspired the overall design concept and renovation approach. "We listened to our membership and these significant improvements will make the clubhouse the hub of the surrounding neighborhood for our members and guests to eat, drink, and entertain."
A second phase of renovations at Lantana is planned for next year and includes updates to the fitness center, banquet facilities and patio. All of these improvements continue to position the club as a key focal point for the neighboring areas.
In addition, Lantana Golf Club is renowned for its highly acclaimed golf course designed by the team of Jay and Carter Morrish.
