Description
Every year from 1977 to 2007, Forest Oaks Country Club hosted the PGA TOUR - first the GGO, then the Chrysler Classic and finally the Wyndham Championship. It is steeped in tradition as the third oldest event on tour.
The tournament has always attracted a strong field of the world's greatest golfers. The legendary Sam Snead won the tournament a record eight times - his last victory at age 52! It is still the record for the oldest golfer to win a PGA TOUR event. Brandt Snedeker was the last PGA player to win the tournament in 2007.
Forest Oaks Country Club was established in 1965 by renowned architect Ellis Maples. Forest Oaks signature course was redesigned by noted golf course architect and PGA tour player, Davis Love III in 2002.
This beautiful golf course offers a challenging layout, whether you are an aspiring tour professional or a beginner. The course is surrounded by majestic oaks and pristine lakes on a rolling terrain that make this an 18 hole masterpiece.
