What are the must play courses in Hilton Head Island ?
Palmetto Hall Plantation Club features two championship courses, The Robert Cupp Course and The Arthur Hills. Both have won numerous awards and accolades for its unique and challenging layouts. They are "must play" courses when you are on Hilton Head Island.
What is the hidden gem and/or best value course?
Oyster Reef Golf Club, a Rees Jones championship designed course, features challenges throughout the course with over 80 bunkers that protect the well-manicured greens. Precision and accuracy is key to scoring on this course. The most memorable hole is # 6, a short par three with the green in front of the beautiful Port Royal Sound.
Can you provide our readers with an ideal itinerary for a long weekend?
For a long weekend retreat, you can book a villa or stay at one of the newly remodeled resort hotels on the island. Play a round of golf or 2 at one of The Heritage Golf Collection courses. With plenty of time before dinner, take a nice relaxing walk on the beach or get a spa treatment. Then dine outdoors by the water or try any of the 250+ restaurants on the island!
After golf, what are the "must do" things or attractions to see?
After golf, there are plenty "must do" or attractions to see! You can unwind and relax on the beaches, take a bike ride, paddle board, go canoeing or kayaking...plenty of water sports to keep you busy! For a great rush, you can also try Hilton Head's newest addition, ZipLine Hilton Head over by Broad Creek Marina. Or just relax, visit the area spas for a great sports massage or to just rejuvenate for the evening!
Whether it's seafood dining by the water with live music or just casual dining, with over 250 restaurants to tempt your taste buds, there is an atmosphere perfect for you!
